Labour: 14 seats, 47.0%
SNP: 7 seats, 38.5%
Independent: 2 seats, 3.2%
Other Parties: 1 seat, 2.4%
Conservative: 0 seats, 8.6%
SDP: 0 seats, 0.3%
Voter turnout was 49.0%.
