Marguerite Jeanne Carpentier (8 September 1886 – 7 November 1965) was a French painter and sculptor. She was born and died in Paris.[2]

She had an artistic independence. She studied in the École des Beaux Arts (1903–1909) and met Auguste Rodin.[2] Her work was part of the painting event in the art competition at the 1924 Summer Olympics.[3] She wrote a Journal d’artiste (a diary), from 1930 to her death in 1965.

Her mother Madeleine Carpentier was also a painter.
