Lorenzo Valla

Lorenzo (atau Laurentius) Valla (pelafalan dalam bahasa Italia: [loˈrɛntso ˈvalla]; c.1407 – 1 Agustus 1457) adalah seorang humanis, retorikawan, dan pengajar Italia. Ia dikenal karena analisis tekstualnya yang menyatakan bahwa Donasi Konstantinus adalah sebuah pemalsuan.

Kehidupan awal

Valla lahir di Roma.[1] Keluarganya berasal dari Piacenza; ayahnya, Luciave della Valla, adalah seorang pengacara yang bekerja di dewan kepausan.
