Upton Sinclair Jr. (20.9. 1878 – 25.11. 1968), bio je plodni američki pisac koji je napisao preko 90 knjiga u brojnim žanrovima, a danas se smatra jednim od najboljih istraživačkih novinara u američkoj historiji. U svoje vrijeme je zagovarao socijalizam i iskazivao simpatije prema anarhizmu.
