Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes var en amerikansk sånggrupp och en av de mest populära Philadelphia soul-grupperna under 1970-talet. Gruppens repertoar inkluderade soul, R&B, doo-wop och disco. Gruppen bildades i Philadelphia i Pennsylvania under namnet The Charlemagnes i början av 1950-talet. De är mest uppmärksammade för flera hits på Gamble & Huffs Philadelphia Internationals skivbolag mellan åren 1972 och 1976. De fortsatte dock att uppträda och spela in musik fram till sångaren Harold Melvins död 1997. The Blue Notes mest kända medlem var Teddy Pendergrass som var ledsångare under de framgångsrika åren på Philadelphia International.^[1]
